Finally finished my first day of all-day travel plus a dinner (aka first meal of the day at 630pm est). I totally got to the airport at 500am, and my work day ended at 9pm. WHUT. Can you say crazy. I am so tired.
Anyways.
Everyone, this is the Gaylord Palm Resort and Spa in Orlando, FL. This is my first time in Orlando and I am pretty sure that I am one of the youngest people in this conference/trade show. I am looking rubbing elows with companies that make up a majority of the huge gas player companies in the nation. I’m networking, and telling some crazy life stories. Good thing I am such a character.
Surprise of the night: While having dinner with two business men from Korea (one about 30, one about 60) they asked me what nationality I was, in which I told them Chinese. They wondered if I spoke any and of course I had to burst their bubbles because I’m so white it’s not even funny because my grandparents came over during the railroad season (YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT). Anyways when I said I didn’t speak a word of Chinese the older Korean man made this face of shock. I felt SO bad like I am the worst Chinese person there is on earth. Whatever. I’m sure he’ll get over it.
:)
I’m hunting too.
I bought some Fiji water and an INKED magazine to see some sexy Ashlyn Harris tatted up galore.
There’s too many people here for 5am. I barely slept last time because it was too hot and woke up every hour. When I was leaving my housemate came back from work at 415am. HOW CRAZY IS THAT.
Reminder to self I parked at 145, near a light pole just cross the street from the main entrance.
UPDATE: 720am. Plane maintenance required. I have been sitting here and not moving for an hour. This is soda pressing.A mix that doesn’t go well when I decided I need to wake up at 330/345am to get ready and be at the airport at 445/5am.
:(
Plus side: these movies I decided to rent on my iPad (Argo & Silver Linings Playbook) and really getting to reread Catching Fire!
Sooo I don’t wanna bring a whole box of mints through an airport so I emptied the whole box in my suitcase…
I’m not gonna get in trouble right?
TSA rules and regulations?
